Public Greenhouses?

? What is your definition of a ‘public greenhouse”? Almost all the botanical gardens have greenhouses – BBG in Brooklyn, the National Arboretum in Wash D.C…The gorgeous one on the Mall in Wash D.C. – forget the name..
what is a ‘public greenhouse”?

United States Botanic Garden at the base of Capitol Hill (botanical is technically incorrect, as my former British botanic garden head would insist). The National Arboretum doesn’t really have big greenhouses for public perusal its pretty ,much all outside (and huge). Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square PA has a really nice one, as does the Druid Hill Conservatory in Baltimore.

San Francisco Conservatory in Golden Gate Park, but again, this is not a public greenhouse, it is a botanical garden; open to the publc, but for viewing only. I do not know of any “public” greenhouses wherein one could garden their own plot.

You might also look at some of the zoos: Randers Rainforest (Denmark) , Burgers Bush (the Netherlands), Masaola Rainforest (ZooZurich) for a different concept. There are fine public glasshouses in Amsterdam, Adelaide, Brussels, Wales, at Kew Gardens…the list is endless. The Gardens By The Bay in Singapore should be amazing when it opens.
