what? weird conclusion, probably just a random fox news type insult..I will take it as such..I have voted in every election since Jimmy Carter, and worked for Obama, I am sorry to say, as well as some local Maine organizations…silly..
and you, Steve? How many times did you vote for Bush?
one man one vote is part of the problem, you can’t deny it…[Read more] -

Tar sands from Canada have not been voted on..
I do agree, however, as do the OWS people, that globalization is bad, and cannot BELIEVE THAT congress just passed Bush’s treaties to free trade up with south america – so much for anything left of the…[Read more] -

Protest if you like Trace. But the true power that every citizen holds in a democracy is their vote. I bet you don’t even bother voting. Are you registered? I suspect not.

I guarentee you that if the Fed is proposing legislation affecting GMO’s (genetically modified organisim) for all you fellers who don’t read.) They most certainly request (routinely) responses from Monsanto as well as the rest of the industry before the legislation is voted on. And if you don’t believe me then you are revealing your own i…[Read more]

I think you have that backwards Heather. In the age of the internet it is much tougher for the media to controll anything. That is why News organizations and Newspapers are struggling so. Revenue is down and the internet is the culprit. Ordinary people now have a very useful tools for organizing. You no longer need the media to organize. The…[Read more]

Steve, how much ‘reserve’ the banks are required to hold is now at about nothing, due to the ‘power ‘ of the FED, which they largeley delegated to the banks..That is a big contested part of the Dodd Frank rule, and it looks like the banks are winning, with no ‘skin in the game’ being required AGAIN, despite the debacle of the bailouts. Oh yes, the…[Read more]

The fed is doing what all central banks are task with doing controlling the economy. And in a gobal ecomomy it is not just the US the Fed has to be concerned about. I am not making excuses for them. I submit that maybe this Gobalization notion is not such a good idea after all.

There is a big difference between the Federal Reserve and the Banks! Make no mistake the Fed is in charge. They control all the rules, including how much reserve money the Banks are required to hold. A lot of people do not realize it but every time a Treasury bill is auctioned some one is obligated to buy it. If foriegn or private investors do…[Read more]

California Native Plants 14 years, 6 months agoI have been using more Baccharis pilularis ‘Pigeon Point’ up here in the East Bay of S.F. It seems to be an easy evergreen plant. So far, so good.
Has anyone had any problems with it after it has established?
Also what is your favorite Ceanothus and why?

This would be a great opportunity to explore the design process.
Maybe you can even do a little research on design methods and see what works best for you.

I’m not saying that it is just Obama, but here in the US we affect policy at the voting booth. You can pitch a tent on Wall Street and the only way that will do anything is how well it affects how and how many people vote. Whether they are on the right or on the left, there will be a major change of players in Washington with a clear message to…[Read more]
