    Gee I thought I could contribute to this conversation. However, I did a quick search on Peak Oil and how many things are actually made from oil, and then I came across an article from a farmer in New York with a blog page. What seems like common sense on growing food locally takes a turn in his rumination. I will admit that I am more reactionary than accepting of new realities, but this shows how much more there is than just seeing an opportunity or following a status-quo.

    Interesting blog. I question his numbers a bit based on my own participation in farmers markets, but his point is valid with some good suggestions, and something to consider.

    Education is key, for professionals and citizens. Understanding the world around you is essential for good planning and life decisions. Greenwash is a concern, but so is complacency. And no, current gas prices and availability have absolutely nothing to do with future global supply…
