Sabbatical ideas

I’m going to be leaving my job after working there for 5 years and am wondering what you guys would do to become better landscape architects, if time was no object. 

For example, I plan on brushing up on my sketching skills, photoshop, competitions, photography, etc. 

I used to be so passionate about LA, but have been extremely apathetic for the past year and have lost all inspiration.  What would you guys do to get out of that frame of mind?
