Last year, I worked on a project that was able to move ahead with stimulus funding. I also saw rfp’s for trail planning and design in my community that were funded with stimulus money. Private investors aren’t interested in building bike trails and safe routes to school. You should also keep in mind that the stimulus funds are paying for concrete, trees and grass seed, as well as salaries. Wise investment in infrastructure makes our communities better places.
