You might look at heavy concrete mesh that comes in sheets and I think I have seen it galvinized?

On a related note, has anyone used the ‘Swedish’ system for under a sidewalk? It incoporates layers of rock for holding water and supporting surrounding pavement then washing in of soil around the planted area.

I would agree, no relationship. There is a design-build firm in my area that uses a graphic artist with a great rendering hand to put the final pass on site plans. The result is a pretty picture but no substance as far as I can tell. Unfortunately sales is sales and this firm is probably doing just fine.

Sounds ambitious, especially in MN. I think TJJ’s comments are harsh but right on the money. Long horizontal run will may freeze in spring and become nice ice sculpture after the pipe bursts with freeze thaw(electrical heat tape maybe). I am curious about plant species as well. I am in that boat, I have had my own business for about 5 years.. so there is no unemployment benefit. It’s sink or swim right now and I do not turn down much…Need your piano moved? I just reluctantly paid for E and O insurance for another year but it is a tough economy no doubt.

After getting all this feed back, are firms that are still working doing predominantly government work. I used to work on developer driven projects but it has flat-lined.
