L.A.R.E. – ANYTHING GOES 16 years, 2 months agoI agree, if you can avoid taking C and E at the same time you may have better luck. It is a TON of information and you can easily get confused or worse: exhausted! That’s not saying it isn’t possilbe, it is just a lot more difficult. C isn’t too bad, but section E is notorious for being a multi-round test! If you can find a review course in your…[Read more]

3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 2 months agoI believe it is a Nvidia 280 GTM, middle of the range but still better than the one on my old computer that ran max 2010 quite well. i7, 8 gigs of ram. Having some photoshop problems too. pretty much everything is frames per second related, it makes zooming and moving things around so hard.

L.A.R.E. – ANYTHING GOES 16 years, 2 months agoI wouldn’t take c and e at the same time either. I took c twice and passed the second time. Just failed e for the first time after studying like crazy. Just signed up for June…we shall see

3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 2 months agoMy experience with 3ds max 2010 on Windows 7 Enterprise x64 has been very good. Its certainly a huge step up from Vista. I’ve got a nice set of graphics cards though so maybe thats the difference. What kind of hardware are you running?

3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 2 months agoSo what are people’s experiences with windows 7 and max? I am running 7 professional 64bit and max 2010 64 bit and having some problems, mainly graphics card related. very low fps which is making it hard to model. though I am hoping that max 2011 which comes out in the next month will help.

L.A.R.E. – ANYTHING GOES 16 years, 2 months agoHonestly I wouldn’t try to take them both at once….study your fanny off for one or the other, pass it, and then take the other in December. I thought site design was a lot easier; I took a weekend workshop that gave me good insights into CLARB world (it’s not about beautiful design!). Work out your shortcuts on parking and bus turnarounds…[Read more]

L.A.R.E. – ANYTHING GOES 16 years, 3 months agoHas anyone seen the pass rates for Section E from June 2009 and Dec. 2009? Talk about a big drop. Went from 48% to 32%. Wow! It seems that there is a cycle as far as passing rates go.

L.A.R.E. – ANYTHING GOES 16 years, 3 months agoI too…would like to thank Brandon for this thread. I passed A, B, C, & D first time through in (March & June of 2008). Now if only I could pass E (failed it three times, most recently Dec. 2009).

I finally decided to fork over a rediculous sum of money to CLARB ($160) to review redlines. REDICULOUS! Shouldn’t it be part of the original $330? I…[Read more] -
