In the eve of my graduation from Landscape Architecture program at UCLA, I was wondering what are the prospects of gaining some work experience in Europe. My concern is mainly with today’s economy. Can anyone comment on that?

A year plus ago I attended Richard Scott’s Accurate Freehand Persepective Drawing class in San Francisco and found him to be one of the clearest art teachers I’ve ever had. It was not an easy class, but he was so calm and insightful. He gave very specific instruction with steps to follow. What stands out the most is how much he enjoys what he does.

I was fortunate enough to take Richard Scott’s rendering classes in school at Cal Poly Pomona and a water coloring class with him in Florence.

The man is brilliant. He completely understands the art and the science of color, perspective and technique and knows how to utilize them very well. I would more than recommend taking any courses you can…[Read more]

I attended Mike Lin graphic workshop ( 1 week) two years ago, it was very good for me. In January 2007, I attended the PHOTOSHOP W/ ILLUSTRATOR workshop provided by LND Digital Workshop. It was a small group, 12 people I believe, so it wasnt two days of techniques being jammed in your face, there was actual time for discussion. I would absolutely recommend taking a graphics workshop. They can be expensive but they are more of an investment in your self. For me, sketching and graphics is relaxing but also most effective for clear communitcation with the client and saling the design.
