3ds max + landscape architecture 17 years, 2 months agolooks good. what helped me a lot was doing tutorials area.autodesk.com has some good ones. its good to just mess around with the program, learn about textures, modeling lighting, ect… by the way those images i posted were created by Kavan Donohue and James Fink. I often try to take all of the credit for their work.

3ds max + landscape architecture 17 years, 2 months agoTerra mode does a lot of high end environmental rendering, and yes we do animations as well. However, we would like to start to apply more physics based animations that give real information such as watershed calculations. Visual information is key to our industry. 3ds max enables the designer to raise the bar on the spread of relevant information.

Green Streets 17 years, 3 months agoYa i defentenly plan on trying to use Bioretention techniques, but this is not a exectly a mitigation techniques it is a stormwater solution, i need some way to extract or mitigate the heavy metals that are with in the soil and water on site, bioretention will help in preventing them to go to the stream but then they are still on site in the soil.

Green Streets 17 years, 3 months agoBioretention is a technique that can be used in nearly any environment, including brownfields, as a water quality control. This may be getting too technical for your project, but depending on the amount of on-site contamination, I would recommend that you wrap all of your stormwater BMPs with an impermeable membrane to help control the spread of…[Read more]
