I have been using VW for 5 years. early on I used SU to flesh out concepts and use for basic presentation. After a year or two I dumped SU to perform all 3D work in VW. VW has become more intuitive in recent versions although still not as simple as SU.

the irrigation system employed depends on the plant growing media being used (i.e. factors like water retention, etc)
i have some images of a recent vertical and roof garden installed on my folio (on this site)
i used a system from a company called fytogreen
