Landscapers Out of the Box 17 years agoWhen in Landscape Architecture out of the Box? What defines the boundry. I can think of a roofscape-with plastic plants-that to me is cearly art not Landscape. Does just being unusual mean out of the box.

Irrigation Design 17 years agoI was able to find some irrigation training and I am more confident now. However, I am looking to purchase irrigation design software. What are the best choices out there? Land F/X? IrriCalc? RainCAD? Others?

Graphics 17 years agoI noted Rico listed Ace Torre as an influence. I recently completed an extensive article profiling Torre for next month’s (May 09) issue of Landscape Architecture Magazine. It’s an in-depth look at his design drawing philosophies and techniques, with step by step photos of Torre in the studio creating one of his famous “tilt-up” aerial drawings.

3ds max + landscape architecture 17 years agoI use mental ray as well. I think for rendering perspectives it works pretty well but Brazil seems to be ideal for animations since it shortens the rendering time without sacrificing too much quality.

3ds max + landscape architecture 17 years agoI’ll see if I can get a hold of the 64 bit version of Brazil later tonight. My buddy sent me VRay too but there was something wrong with the zip file so I couldn’t get it to work. What’s so great about VRay? He’s also supposed to send RenderMan whatever that is.
