Hi Lisa, I studied at UW in the LA program there.

I think the stonework both in how it was used/located in space and how it was finished stood out to me as being particularly of a PNW style.

Speaking of iconic Northwest landscape designs, the great Lawrence Halprin died on Sunday, October 25th at the age of 93.

I see that you’re from New York. It’d be interesting to hear your opinion on what you think defines a PNW design. You mention Haag and Murase but what elements stand out to you? Are there any particular spaces that spoke to you?

Welcome Kevin! Thanks Jason for your comments on maintenance. After e-mail chats with many people, the fundamental move is to have regular inspections to look for needed maintenance patterns. I agree that it is a relatively new field for L. archs, and so the phrase “moving target” is apropos for the moment.

Cover letter help! Anyone have some good tips for writing great cover letters?

I have questions about Vectorworks.. one of that is.. when I use VW for 3d site modeling, it becomes so slow.. I made layers simple, even classes.. But still slow..
I’m using ‘i-mac’ resent version. How I can make it faster? Change Graphic Card?
Up Grade Memory? Is there anybody knows about VectorWorks?

I use mostly Photoshop for my renderings, I have dabbled a bit in Corel Painter, and Corel Painter Sketchbook, but I really like photoshop. The trick to the water is its is an image that I found on Google images and distorted into perspective in Photoshop and then pasted into the image…

This looks good. What program do you usually use for this? Especially I like that water
texture. I want to learn it!
