| Other Crafts/Interests | Fine artist working across colored pencil, charcoal, and acrylic, with a body of work that is predominantly semi-abstract and inspired by Zentangle technique. I use pattern, contrast, rhythm, and color to bring balance and harmony to each piece. In 2020, I authored and illustrated the Zen Coloring Book: A Colorful Way to Meditate, a project born from my belief that art can heal and create a spiritual connection through shared emotion. Alongside my fine art practice, I have a deep, lifelong interest in hand-rendering and freehand perspective sketching, trained in the Mike Lin tradition of graphic communication for landscape architecture. I’m currently developing Landscape Architecture by Hand, a book and newsletter exploring the craft, discipline, and quiet precision of drawing by hand in a profession that has largely moved to digital tools.
Whether it’s a client rendering or a personal piece, I believe the hand carries a kind of intention and memory that no software can fully replicate. |
