Richard-
I don’t recall if you mentioned which section you are taking. But just my 2 cents from my experience (have passed all & now licensed): The earlier the better! That’s too vague tho right?
For the graphic sections, which are now sections 3 & 4, I started studying about 3 months in advance. For the other 2, I did about 6 weeks – 2…[Read more] -

Matt,
Thanks for the great response. Any recommendations for prep time leading up to the exam? I realize everyone studies differently and learning curves vary. Just trying to get an expectation for how long I should study per week and how long before the exam. Seems like there is quite a bit to know for this exam. Thanks for any help or guidance…[Read more]

Congrats on starting your LARE Prep effort !

This might help -=in your decision making – Erik Sweet, PLA, ASLA wrote 1 book for Section D (includes Section 3 & 4 content). I wrote 2 book…[Read more] -

Hello all. Awesome resource here, looking to put it to use. I am beginning the process of studying for the LARE exam in December here in Northern California. I was sad to miss Ray Freeman’s course at Berkeley in June, but it just didn’t work out for me. Anyone have suggestions for upcoming classes to take? Also, I found a website http://www.ppi2pass.com…[Read more]

I’d like to get info on prep classes or materials in the midwest. I’m in KC. Some of the books listed on CLARB are out of print.

A year ago I began studying for Section 4 again, after failing it in December 2012. After passing last April, friends asked me to teach an online class geared toward this section, which is trickier than the others. Next week is the first live Q&A session in my 3-part webinar series. More info is in the attached flyer, and…[Read more] -

Matt – From what I understand, the U.S. Botanic Garden does not support the lawsuit. I believe this to be true because out of the three organizations, the U.S. Botanic Garden has the greatest legal resources and influence. If the USBG was unhappy with the trademark request as filed by UT, they would have joined the legal battle to stop it and w…[Read more]

Thanks for your insights. Having worked on a Pilot Project for some time I have a great deal of respect for SITES and the comprehensive approach it brings.
