Thanks for the idea, those seem like they would work great but living in Arizona I don’t know that I could find that type of plant unless I was able to find it in a store to buy somewhere.

At this point I don’t know the scale of the final model I’m just trying to collect information on how others have gone about creating and using various materials to represent plants.

The idea of creating an open share network of information on cities as a whole is very interesting. The collection of data when doing analysis work always seems to be the hardest thing to come by because there is no central location to go to get it. Thank you for the idea here, I have never seen trees like this before. Last year there were a couple of students that used wire for trees but they were abstract lollipop trees. Now did you just leave them looking like deciduous winter trees or did you use some type of material that gave impression of foliage on the branches?

Maybe I’m the only one here, but I personally enjoy the groundcovers. While they are not the solution for ever situation to rule them out completely is disregarding an entire branch of the design tree.

Personally, I would not have a problem with receiving a kick back from a contractor for pointing the client in their direction, as long as the quality of the work is high and the client and the contractor are happy both with the price and the work. I can understand that, and while yes it is different, maybe something that you could do to help the viewer understand the relationship that you are expressing a little more, is to make a reference to the experiential aspect of both music and landscape architecture. Something to bridge the bridge the gap between the two.
