Check out the google group for access to study material. Also visit CLARB website for recommended book reading and example questions (I think it’s $80 for around 30 or so questions).

I only have one section left to pass and I would suggest reading all the recommended books and taking practice tests to familiarize yourself with wording of the questions. A solid understanding of the concepts of each section will get you further than memorizing definitions.

In my experience, small firms pay more.

I graduated 2.5 years ago, still employed by same company and I can tell you that you shouldn’t even entertain the thought of a salary in the $50,000 range. That is just very unrealistic.

I read a little about your situation in the thread, your skills do not justify that large of a salary. You seem to think you have a lot of experience but really you don’t.

You should be content with anything over $40,000. Anything over $45,000 should feel like a Christmas present. In my experience, colleges tend to fluff up the profession with both job opportunities and salary compensation.

A lot of people have given good advice so far. Just be realistic.

    Our firm uses this: http://www.psascorecard.com/

Relatively easy to use, I’d recommend it.

I got my BLA in 08′ from LSU. If you want to travel, get your degree from LSU.
I guess I’m one of the lucky ones who actually still has a job in the field. It required me to move 1500 miles but that’s what I wanted to do anyways.
Now to your question, nothing. I loved school and I love my job.
    My degree was 5 years.
