I agree with Ernst – Laburnum x species. The smoothness of the bark and irregularities of the branch form is certainly a feature of Laburnum.

I can’t answer any of your questions Tom, but I’ve noticed a reduction in numbers of positions being advertised by recruitment firms especially in europe and the middle east. Thank you for your reply.
The firm is called CGLA and we don’t have a website – yet. At this stage I am putting together an interim one which has a variety of projects on it.
We haven’t worked in the US before but have worked with Patrick Curren of SWA on a competition entry in Christchurch and remain in contact.
