If you use stories to relate your design charrettes then you have to speak to them in a language that they understand.

I agree with you. The grounds are always nice and impressive however (from pictures I have seen) it looks like they lack cultural flavor. I would like to one day design the temple grounds for a new temple. I think that it would be an interesting challenge to make the grounds have the same effect on patrons as the interiors do. I like to use the iris and peony myself. I also mix in Irish moss where I can with the rocks to display miniature scenes of vegetation.
