Even though the test is changing formats, this material is still sold through the PPI website – don’t be fooled by the new packaging…it’s the same thing and they haven’t yet figured out how to adapt to the new format (see here for a direct comparison of the r…[Read more]

I live in Upper Marlboro, MD, and am preparing for Sections 3 & 4 in December. Any DC/Baltimore/NoVa candidates doing the same? I’ve got all my study books and old vignettes, but it could be nice to know others in the same boat.

PPI – LARE Complete Review Package Sections A-E. This package is as ordered directly from PPI and includes all of the materials listed on their website (click here to see what is included). They are virtually unmarked as I worked on copies instead of the originals. This package originally sells for $335, but I’m asking $300. A discounte…[Read more]

The Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES) is gaining momentum with an announcement they have certified the nation’s first three projects. As a landscape architect professional, would you become a SITES AP?

hi Stephanie,
For section D, are there any new materials. I’ve taken the class 5 years ago. I really need to pass before the new change.Anyone, want to have study group strictly for D? I’m in Orange County, CA or we can just do emailing to share study materials. Thanks

Tanya, thanks for the advice. My first option would be to get professional experience in restoration design before I go back to school and I’m very much looking into that but also looking to keep my options open. Also, thanks for the advice about the portfolio, that’s something that I’m aware of but it slipped my mind at the time. Changing now, thanks!

Hey Charles – rather than spending more $$$ you might try an internship with someplace like Barr Engineering in Minneapolis – they have a lengthy restroration portfolio. If you want hands-on experience you might call them to ask who does the installation of their projects. Ann Riley’s Waterways Restoration Institute in Berkley, CA might be a g…[Read more]
