Asia Landscape 15 years, 12 months agoHi,
Yesterday my boyfriend and I have arrived in Kuala Lumpur. We are planning to travel for a few months around South East Asia. I would like to write a series of articles about landscape architecture in Asian countries and therefore I need to collect some information.
Could you please give me some tips what is worth seeing in Kuala Lumpur and…[Read more] -

Topos 16 years agoHello Colm
it seems that money is a big issue when it comes to subscriptions. But as long as you get good value for your bucks or pounds it is a good inverstment. If Guinness is good for you, Topos is better 😉 -

Aotearoa New Zealand LA's 16 years, 1 month agoNot a lot of pure Landscape Architecture jobs out there right now. You need to get networking. I’ve had some contract work from asking around through people I’ve been involved with over the years. Keep busy, the NZILA always needs help with events like conferences, spring lecture series and the like. Volunteering still keeps your hand in the game.

Middle East Landscape 16 years, 2 months agoHi Kevin,
If you need a really good nursery in Qatar, my suggestion is : Al Maktab Al Hollandi is one of the best!
Done a couple of projects with them, and their quality of work as well as their nurseries are superb~ -

Middle East Landscape 16 years, 2 months agoGreetings–
While I do not live in the middle east I am working on projects in Qatar and Abu Dhabi and am trying to get a sense of how to proceed in a meaningful way. I’ve worked abroad before and have had positive and negative experiences with trying to be as ‘local’ as possible. So far my impression of Qatar is to be sensitive to the climate…[Read more]

LEED in Landscape Architecture 16 years, 2 months agoJust sat for the GA Exam and passed on the first attempt. It’s definitely distilled down from the old version of the exams. From my perspective the LEED GA is a great credential for LAs to have the distinction, but without having to go through the specialty portions that are beyond our typical work. Sustainable Sites is where I’m placing my emphasis.
