  • Hi,
Yesterday my boyfriend and I have arrived in Kuala Lumpur. We are planning to travel for a few months around South East Asia. I would like to write a series of articles about landscape architecture in Asian countries and therefore I need to collect some information.
Could you please give me some tips what is worth seeing in Kuala Lumpur and…[Read more]

    Hello Colm
it seems that money is a big issue when it comes to subscriptions. But as long as you get good value for your bucks or pounds it is a good inverstment. If Guinness is good for you, Topos is better 😉

Hello,I really like the Topos magazine, I just haven’t been able to afford it in a while. When my budget allows I will re subscribe and maybe someday back date, now that will be a good day.

    Hello and welcome!
This is the new group Topos. We would like to discuss here communication and media issues related to Landscape Architecture and relevant publications – and, for sure: promote Topos.

hai..wemby speaking here,,im interested too for exploration of the development landscape architecture by design and good planning

    especially in my country INDONESIA

  • Not a lot of pure Landscape Architecture jobs out there right now. You need to get networking. I’ve had some contract work from asking around through people I’ve been involved with over the years. Keep busy, the NZILA always needs help with events like conferences, spring lecture series and the like. Volunteering still keeps your hand in the game.

  • Hello…I am here to be a resource, how can I help you?

    Hi Kevin,
If you need a really good nursery in Qatar, my suggestion is : Al Maktab Al Hollandi is one of the best!
Done a couple of projects with them, and their quality of work as well as their nurseries are superb~

  • Is there any significant project in UAE recently? I feel the government has cut off the fundings for development.

  • Joy, have your Chapter Trustee or President check in with Liz at ASLA national and she can certainly help find appropriate speakers for you. Also, the ASLA Sustainable Design & Development PPN can help guide you as well. We have many talented speakers that can address many different aspects of this topic.

  • The NY Upstate Chapter of the ASLA is teaming with the NY State AIA for the first time ever to put a JOINT conference together! Sustainability is a particular topic that is HOT on both arenas. Please feel free to let me know if there are people interested in presenting at the conference regarding the SSI to LEED roll out, or to a particularly…[Read more]

  • Kevin,

Could you please state something for your project/s and I will try to find you some information. I mean type of project, size, approximate cost, timeframe, location…[Read more]

  • Greetings–

While I do not live in the middle east I am working on projects in Qatar and Abu Dhabi and am trying to get a sense of how to proceed in a meaningful way. I’ve worked abroad before and have had positive and negative experiences with trying to be as ‘local’ as possible. So far my impression of Qatar is to be sensitive to the climate…[Read more]

  • Thank you Eric for your feedback – invaluable information since many have been asking about the LEED GA exam.

  • Charles,
Perhaps they are hiring knowledgable Landscape Architects? Clearly they need help.

  • Just sat for the GA Exam and passed on the first attempt. It’s definitely distilled down from the old version of the exams. From my perspective the LEED GA is a great credential for LAs to have the distinction, but without having to go through the specialty portions that are beyond our typical work. Sustainable Sites is where I’m placing my emphasis.
