Habitat Restoration and Mitigation 17 years, 4 months agoI am considering a career change into landscape architecture. I have a strong interest in global environmental change, conservation, ecosystem services, sustainability, and how connection with nature benefits human well-being. My background is more environmental science/management, but I am looking for a more creative outlet and the opportunity to…[Read more]

Habitat Restoration and Mitigation 17 years, 4 months agoI’ve worked on a lot of other restoration projects, establishing wetlands in industrial estates and often roadside habitats. In heavily farmed areas roadside verges are often the only source of remnant vegetation and can therefore be incredibly important for local gene pools.

Habitat Restoration and Mitigation 17 years, 4 months agoWe have an aboriginal education team and indigenous bush foods and tools plantings which are just aobut to be extended through a recent grant. They are based out of a beautiful gum leaf shaped shelter that strangely does not appear on our website. I’ll have to take one myself.

Graphics 17 years, 4 months agoVery excited about this group. Isn’t it interesting that we spend so much of our time perfecting our graphics for presentation purposes, and find more ways to communicate our intent in design, though in the end our designs are usually judged on the ability to properly solve a need or fulfill a desired use (which is appropriate). But what part of…[Read more]

Graphics 17 years, 4 months agoGabriel,
I do all of my best renderings on trace paper….just standard trace
My favorite markers are copic sketch markers because you can erase them from trace paper….
I love prismacolor pencils….
I draw all of my linework with a combination of prismacolor black pencil and staedtler pens……
That is my basic repetoire or arsenal for…[Read more]

Xerophytic Landscapes 17 years, 6 months agoHi’s and Hello’s to you all. Got a short question for you guys. I’m not familiar with mesquite (Prosopis juliflora), so do you know if this could be propagated en masse asexually? Rumor has it in the UAE that the indigenous and endemic trees here are resistant to mass asexual propagation. I hope you can prove me wrong….
