Very true, I’m not a BIM specialist, but vectorworks is closing in on practices in the UK. An excellent tool, and cost effective. Cheap upgrades if you take the service option.

Hi I like your portfolio and artwork, agree that it is busy, but very nice work. Front cover is a bit loud, I prefer plain, no images in the background including space around the work. Remove any image of yourself, one mistake I was corrected on a long time ago, employers should judge your work which is good and not the person on the cover. And…[Read more]

Hi;
It is good that American Nursery Journal is following the same line, I have seen some impressive designs with the freeway bridges incorporating large areas for animals and over species to make safe passage. This also helps bio-diversity in vast amounts. I look forward to reading the link,
Thank you so much Richard Kidger -

Hello Brian:
Vectorworks, LandFX AND standalone software for CAD Keyscape will do the job. I have had vectorworks for a few years. Student version is free, it is a little complex but they all work very well and industry recognized.
View them on YouTube first

Richard Kidger replied to the topic Can you give me a realistic picture of being a landscape architect? in the forum GENERAL DISCUSSION 11 years, 5 months ago

I also work freelance and design gardens. It’s good to specialize, touch base with all part of the discipline, and constantly download software that is required and…[Read more]

Hi everyone,
I found your link to this BBC page on grass free lawns, it’s very interesting and currently Sheffield University has done similar types of planting strategies. I love the increase biodiversity within garden; my bird boxes are regularly full of Tree Bees every year.
The project is more of a sensory garden area than a lawn; which is n…[Read more] -

I think you’ll do fine, economics can be combined with your Landscape Architecture

Position for an MA economics and environmental qualification or experience
For flood strategy planning and economic stats for the next 20 year pridictions.
Pay offer was around £50 to £60k…[Read more] -
