While the rest of the world is moving forward into the future with clean energy, our genius president is trying to revive the coal industry as coal burning electric plants convert to natural gas nationwide.
Well done looking like an obnoxious, spoiled 3-year-old in Brussels after the lovefest with the Saudis. It’s hilarious seeing people cheer T…[Read more] -

Trump is causing landscape architects to not stand by their own words as they start to see the writing on the wall. How embarrassing.

Design is a Practice…..so, design, design, design….don’t take yourself too seriously…
everyone that’s been around very long can tell you this is not an exact science…

To add to your thought… I am not sure whether getting an MLA helped me with my job search out of college, but I’m glad I did it. At U of Idaho an MLA was an extra 1.5 years and I learned more in that year and a half than I did as an undergraduate. It gave me a chance to work for a year side by side building architects and I learned a lot of…[Read more]

The good news is that if you were pretty fluent in AutoCAD in 2008 you will have no trouble using it in 2017. A few more tools to simplify and add conveniences if you choose to use them, but you’ll be fully functional from day one. You’ll actually like some of the conveniences when you discover them.
You’ll be fine! -

Edward G Hamm replied to the topic Trump as President? Meaning for Landscape Architects? in the forum GENERAL DISCUSSION 9 years, 1 month ago
Anyone who thinks that a wall can be built along the Mexican Border is as deluded as Trump. Its costs will be stratospheric. If it is real a wall, and not a fence, the drainage implications are enormous and expensive. We are talking pumps to move water over the wall here at the base of a major drainage basin. A wall like this will requ…[Read more]

I do think that evaluating the Trump administrations impact on our profession is shortsighted and trivial. This man will do his best to damage lives and the environment for his own personal gain.
When I worked in New York no respectable professional would work with this man. He has incredibly bad taste and a record of not paying his co…[Read more] -
