According to a link on another post ‘The growth ponzi scheme’ :
‘The quality employment opportunities available for the masses rely solely on the perpetuation of this unsustainable model, so we can’t even work our way out of this mess.’

Hi Anthony
sorry if you were waiting for a reply- the way these posts are updated seems pretty weird- its not quite linear enough of a trail for me- the responses seem to be quickly sucked up into little ‘mini-threads’ …or is it just me 🙂
hey, no compatibility issues whatsoever. Open Type fonts have sorted the old issues of font translation.…[Read more] -

HAHAHAHAHA Tim your funny. Mac behind, gimme a break. Windows 7 is an pc version of mac os. its funny to see how much copying windows does. I recently went to mall of america, they put a pc store across from a mac store, however no one goes into windows store except to play xbox, while the mac store is full to the brim.

Youtube has a really interesting lecture, I think from April of this year, that Corner gave at USC on the High Line – gives a much better feel for it than these articles, if you can’t get there..
It’s called “James Corner Recent Works” – really worth the watch, IMHO.. -

Sorry. I guess my obsession went a bit too far. Its like when people are really obsessed with a product. I cant get enough. It started when I took a class about the word “-SCAPE” and part of the class was focused on dutch design, and so i have a biased point of view since that class. that class made me want to go to the NL to study abro…[Read more]

True. I studied in amsterdam and tried to get a job. to my dismay the work visa was going to cost more than my pay checks, and they would not hire americans due to the extra cost.

Hi Greg
I didnt realize you were contacting me, so here comes the late reply.
When i was enrolled there were 4 blocks in a year with a week in between. Each block took 9 weeks plus an examination week. You had 1or2 courses each block.
Some courses are based in group work/lectures, and others are more theoretical. If you are writting your t…[Read more] -

Tosh, The “rock and a hard place” of small business is not only credit, the other is a tax policy which brutally punishes you if you try to save money. As my accountant says every year: “head for zero”, meaning don’t have much money (“profit”) laying around to get taxed at 50-700%. Most small profitable companies (yes, they do still exist) spe…[Read more]

so there’s no intellecutal landscape architecute or UD outside of the NL? pretty bold statement i’d say. i think there’s definitely an overlap in contemporary design in the NL, germany, and scandinavia.. clearly its your opinion, but i can’t help think its a bit short-sighted but you can certainly elaborate. I dont think i would be so quick…[Read more]

So is that the real and only reason you like Apple….because you have shares in their stock? Who’s to say I or Jared don’t? I actually do, have for some time now. Your argument to me above was actually pretty pointless other then to say Apple is #1 and here’s a few links. Or was it just to say that I don’t have a ‘real job’ and I’m just an…[Read more]

Real job? If I’m understanding your profle correctly, you and I have the about the same years of experience of which I have been gainfully employed since graduation. Either one, I guess. I could just send an e-mail to their generic address, but I might get a better response from a real person.
I was looking at their website, and they do seem like a fun office. -

I find it strange that infrastructure maintenance budget is part of the annual general congressional budget and doesn’t have it’s funding avenue.
Sadly many towns in MN were struggling with the debt taken on putting in all the roads and sewers for developments that probably will never get built. -
