Graphics 16 years, 5 months agoI use mostly Photoshop for my renderings, I have dabbled a bit in Corel Painter, and Corel Painter Sketchbook, but I really like photoshop. The trick to the water is its is an image that I found on Google images and distorted into perspective in Photoshop and then pasted into the image…

Site Remediation Design 16 years, 5 months agoHow can landscape architects become cultural middlemen for site decontamination? Remediation doesn’t only have to be about soil borings and lab tests. Cleaning up junk can be an opportunity for new landscape experiences, typologies, and processes to emerge. Let me hear your thoughts.

Mid-Atlantic Native Plants 16 years, 6 months agoThat’s great. I’m a member of the Maryland Native Plant Society and try to use natives as much as possible in my design work. I’m way behind you in terms of knowledge but I’m working on it and I’m passionate about it. I think your photo archive will be useful for me and anyone else interested in using native plants.

Mid-Atlantic Native Plants 16 years, 6 months agoMostly I use it to teach myself plants. I’m a member of the Virginia Native Plant Society and lead field trips, but I still have a lot to learn about what grows around here. I also get a lot of requests to use the photos for books, brochures and presentations. In most cases I let people use the photos free of charge to encourage the use of natives.

LEED in Landscape Architecture 16 years, 6 months agoJust got an e-mail regarding GBCI Credentialing Maintenance Program for those of us that have been accredited without specialization under the old system. Was wondering if anyone has dug deeper into what this really means for us and if upgrading to a specialization will pay off in the end?
