Thanks for posting. I will read these, although I am falling into despair regarding the overwhelming hurdles we have as a people if we are to gain control of our political system again. Regarding, OWS…I see this as a chance to do something, the more of us that become engaged the better. If we don’t do it now…when will we?

The thing is the banks are not making loans to small businesses that could grow. We had to get a loan from my mom for a dump trailer for our business, I know a hair stylist in town that tried to get a $5000 loan and my brother in law is starting his own construction business in W. He doesn’t have details…I used the same calculations economists are using to estimate what the changes would cost individuals. He also does not exempt food from sales tax. If you can explain to me why it is a good idea to tax someone making $20,000 a year 22%…go for it.

Because I am a nerd I took the time to look at two scenarios for a person making $20,000 residing in the state of Idaho…where I live.
Current system: Person does not pay income tax but does pay payroll tax which totals $1500 leaving them with $18,500 to live on…lets assume he uses all of this to live purchasing food, etc. I don’t know how to…[Read more]
