I think this is a strange time in history. I highly suspect that we will look back one day and be shocked at how bad this has really been. I think depending where you live, the recession looks worse. I think there are a lot of opportunities like that around here. I did begin learning grant writing when I worked at the City and would have liked to become more proficient.

I’m still learning! I am still interested to hear how the relationship b/w the designer and contractor is communicated. Is it with a contract? Verbally?

For the women that have children and feel like your career stagnated. Do you have any ideas on what you could have done differently? Sometimes I wonder if I should go to school for an MBA as a sort of bridge between staying at home and working. Going to school is a lot more flexible…then again, the thought of student loans is just…blech.

I am a little confused. You are designing and then have a contractor you work with that builds your designs? Is it that unusual for contractors to make changes on a design?
