Natural stone is the best for not retaining heat, travertine, or light colored limestone are good options…though for driveways those get expensive.

As with projects that we show online there is alot that was not shown. I did 4 options for this client and moved the bbq every option. This was the location they asked for the bbq and for the final revision I was able to convince them to put a water feature there instead.

Asian ceramics is good but they are located in CA. www.asianceramics.com

Restoration Hardware also has some good ones.

    Or try Rolling planters http://www.rollingplanter.com/

I’ve also ordered from Oldtown fiberglass and they were fine.

I have been on numerous job interviews and one of the questions was “What designer do you pattern your design aesthetics after?” I’ve also been asked “what type of work (civic, commercial, residential) I prefer better.”(kinda a trick question if applying for the city .. let’s hope they say parks and civic work :).  I’ve been given CAD tests and been asked “What I thought of the other companies I worked for.” Though I don’t recommend that question it is interesting how people will answer.

There is the job board here on land8 and you could also post on the asla website. I’ve heard if you post on asla you could get over 50 resumes for an entry level job.
