  • I’ve worked on a lot of other restoration projects, establishing wetlands in industrial estates and often roadside habitats. In heavily farmed areas roadside verges are often the only source of remnant vegetation and can therefore be incredibly important for local gene pools.

  • We have an aboriginal education team and indigenous bush foods and tools plantings which are just aobut to be extended through a recent grant. They are based out of a beautiful gum leaf shaped shelter that strangely does not appear on our website. I’ll have to take one myself.

    1. Creating memory places
    2. Creating a sense of place (genus loci)
    3. Guardian of identity
    4. Interest of users health, safety and welfare
    What Mack mentioned is true for me as one who has had the experience on both sides, as the one to experience and admire and the one to create

  • The the streets on the island of Bali in Indonesia are rather amazing. A contradicting yet some how functional mosaic of temples (Balinese Hindu), tacky souviner shops, bars, resturants, massage parlors, internet cafes, etc. all spilling into a 20 ft wide alley (street) that is already full of taxis, motorbikes, donkey carts and peds.…[Read more]

  • In Sydney, there is a magnificent avenue of Moreton Bay Figs (Ficus macrophylla) along Anzac Parade. They’ve been there for well over a hundred years and create a dramatic canopy over this wide, major thoroughfare.
