I’d like to get info on prep classes or materials in the midwest. I’m in KC. Some of the books listed on CLARB are out of print.

A year ago I began studying for Section 4 again, after failing it in December 2012. After passing last April, friends asked me to teach an online class geared toward this section, which is trickier than the others. Next week is the first live Q&A session in my 3-part webinar series. More info is in the attached flyer, and…[Read more] -

I have sections 3 &4 left to take; unfortunately it seems that Florida ASLA is not currently offering a LARE Review. Given that I will be required to travel out of state to attend a review, does anyone have any recommendations in regards to who does offer a good LARE review or who I should avoid?

If the firm is interested in what you have to offer it’s usually not a problem. There is always a shortage of landscape architects in HK, so there are always a few firms hiring. Your past projects and portfolio are important.

@Michael, No I am still in the EU, do you reckon is feasible to get a job from here?

Michael Thomas posted an update in the group Hong Kong Landscape Architecture 11 years, 5 months ago
I suggest just sending your CV and portfolio to any companies you’re interested in, and take it from there. Are you in Hong Kong at the moment?

@Alessandro try going to the companies’ websites. If not sometimes you will have luck in recruit.com.hk and jobsdb.com

Hi there,
I am a Graduate Landscape Architect, looking into some job opportunities in Hong Kong. Despite the Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architecture, could you suggest other web sites where to look for jobs? Is there any firm hiring at the moment?
Thank you,
Ale.

You should try out Hassell, Aedas, good ol’ Belt Collins, Earthasia and even Aecom. I also just read that ERM’s on the look out too.
Good luck! -

Hi everyone,
I’m moving to HK in January and will be looking for work with an LAR firm. I’m currently back in the US but worked in Beijing for 7 months last year and Shanghai for 6 months this year. I’m looking to stay in HK for at least 2-3 years, maybe permanently. I’ve been looking online for firms hiring but figured I would post something here…[Read more] - Load More
