LEED in Landscape Architecture 15 years, 11 months agoDoes anybody have any experience with LEED projects in India? We are working on a possible LEED ND project in Tamil Nadu and I’m not sure how some of the US requirements will transfer over there. Is the USGBC pretty amenable to adjusting the prerequisites based on differences in infrastructure systems?

SketchUp 15 years, 11 months agoDaniel – You’re work on SketchUp is really remarkable. My opinion on SketchUp has improved as I see how much can be done with it showing realistic conceptual landscape designs. You’re making an impression on the technology in this field.

L.A.R.E. – ANYTHING GOES 15 years, 12 months agoOnce upon a time, the reference manual had symbols for plants used in planting plan vignettes. These disappeared in 2006. I suspect this is what you may be referring to.

The Sustainable Sites Initiative 16 years agoHello Tamera,
Well, As a LEED AP, I can tell you that LEED doesn’t deal with the spaces BETWEEN the buildings on a level that is watershed centric, site planning, soils responsive. LEED does not give points for passive solutions, but favors mechanical solutions. In so many ways, LEED is very narrow, and SSI is very broad. Those are just a few…[Read more] -
