The legislator happens to be a brick mason. I heard that only 30 percent of the people in the Washington legislature have college degrees. This might say something about their lack of support for teachers, colleges and universities.

In order to pass the new practice act in Washington, we had to capitulate to a legislator who said he “is an apprentice kind of guy”. So now the state LA Board is drawing up rules for the act’s implementation. One of the areas being addressed is this aspect of the legislation. If your program is LAAB accredited, then you should be fine. Email me priviately and I can make some recommendations for you to address the LATC staff.

As faar as the LATC is goes, it isnt a beurocratic thing, and I would send letters to no just the governor, but you state senator and assemblyman as well. work is slim. I’ve been hurting since feb. last year (so cal lower desert seemed to be one of the first to dry up).

I hope everyone has voiced thier opinion to our governor concerning the elimination of the latc. not sure if it’s that great a cause though. beside the obvious function to regulate; is the latc just another bureaucratic…[Read more]
