I started my process last year and I remember reading somewhere that you have 5 years to finish from the time of your first exam.

Check with your State…they are all different. But don’t delay, finish the exam and get it over with, I had to repeat a section because I waited too long.

LARE Multiple Choice Discussion 9 years, 3 months agoVery important CLARB has posted, without announcing it, a 2nd revision to the new orientation guide for the LARE that goes back to 120 questions. It’s now 105 questions that count plus 15 Experimental questions (unidentified in the exam) that DO NOT count. That is close to 15% of the exam, making it an unprecedented amount of non-point earn…[Read more]

I’m glad it looks like it will work out for you.
I have not had problems with crossing lines. I’m not sure what you are running into with that. -

I have just purchased the Disto S910 & am very pleased with it. I haven’t used it for an actual project yet but have had a play around with it. It seems to be very quick & easy to use. The screen is a little difficult to see in bright sunlight (much like a mobile phone screen in sunlight) but its not too bad. I downloaded the measurements in DXF…[Read more]

Hi Andrew
Thank you very much for the explanation of your typical measuring case. As far as I know there is nothing comparable for this case in price and features as the Leica S910.
I hope I can afford it soon. -

Martin, I have not used the sketch app. I use the Disto pretty much for one purpose. That is to field locate existing objects or edges to add into and existing plan. It is a lot of money, so it only makes sense if it fits your needs and the frequency of that need. I very often need to supplement a plan with the location of individual existing…[Read more]

Thanks Philippa for all of these usefull information.
I would like to buy the Disto S910 after reading the review http://www.laser-distance-measurer.com/leica-disto-s910-review and your posts. Have you tried the Disto Sketch app for documentation without coordinates? I’m afraid the gadget is expensive… -

I have lots of experience with Vectorworks and think its a great software. You can create beautiful drawings and create planting plans with the plant symbols library. It also creates planting schedules making life a whole lot easier! Its fun to work with too!

Thanks Bob! I have had my own business creating bespoke, hand-blown terrariums; indoor plants; and green walls for the past eight years. I’m guessing this might not be enough for an LA job? I will contact some firms.

I wouldn’t think there would be a second thought as you work with at least three people I know, Shannon Stark, Emily Rogers and Lesley Conroy, who I believe are currently using it at your firm! They like Stephen and you neighbor down the street, The Landscape Architecture Bureau, have had great success transitioning and using Landmark.

I don’t understand this at all. This is a website for Landscape Architects. The original poster states that she is a professional, makes a few comments on other threads, and then posts this homeowner in search of help thread.
…. with a link in it. Not looking for websites hits by any chance? -
