Last time I up-graded my LandCAD I bought the one year support package precisely so I could get my questions answered. I knew I wouldn’t need the support very long. If you call them on an hourly charge basis they, well, like to ramble on the phone.
I don’t use irrigation though, so I can’t help you.

Tosh K replied to the topic Comparable playground surfacing to Landscape Structures stuff? in the forum DETAILS & MATERIALS 13 years ago
We’re using Surface America’s poured surfacing (lot’s of colors); advantage being it’s flexible in terms of shapes, the disadvantage is having to hire a licensed installer. The tiles we’ve used are ecore and playguard (best for rectangular spaces), the advantage is the easy install, the disadvantage is there is a bit of frost heave issue.

I certainly don’t mean to speak for Daniel, but are you sure he’s using 3D people? He uses lots of 2D people in his work as far as I know. Search Daniel Tal on the Trimble 3D Warehouse and you’ll find several 2D collections. If that’s not what you’re looking for, let us know.

Raid your local university program? Dosch used to carry good images (though expensive), but for the most part I either cut them out (and add to my library from school) or when desperate go to one of the image websites (shutterstock, 123rf).

nca replied to the topic Steel Edging in the forum DETAILS & MATERIALS 13 years ago
the older type that came with black plastic cap is dangerous as the plastic cap peels off leaving the sharp raw edge exposed. There is steel or aluminum ‘rolled-top’ edging now that is much safer as long as you are sure ends are secured and/or even filed smooth(er). I use it and have for quite a while. Answer: Cordyline – Festival Burgundy Cordyline (I believe to be exact)
It could easily be mistaken for a juvenile Phormium ‘Bronze’ or ‘Atropurpureum’, but the flower is the give away that it is Cordyline. Check out the comparison:

You could try: Central Park Conservancy, NYC Parks & Rec, Friends of Prospect Park, NY ASLA, or any of the big firms. Visa issue may be dicey, but I would think volunteering should be feasible.
