It’s so slow that I have seen no change in 40 years….thanks asla.
the public still have no clue and it appears that most of us don’t either.
define yourself and don’t wait for anyone else to do it for you is my advise.
after all, only you know what is is you do…. -

My answer is simple. Architects design indoor spaces. Landscape architects design outdoor spaces.
However, I have designed several indoor atrium spaces in large buildings… so there goes the simplicity.

Try this…back in the early 70’s I learned to use prisma pencils then after you lay down the color with the pencil, take a q-tip and put some lighter fluid on it, then blend the pencil color with the q-tip.
It looks like watercolor when you finish….take a little practice but looks fantastic!!! give it a try…

I read recently in LAM that LEED is becoming less and less in demand…
so, maybe it is ok to have a lawn….haha.

Jamie, I’ve been doing garden design as a part of my LA practice over 25 years and as an employee of others for another 15 years…I find these are not mutually exclusive…why do others? Is it because we’re no longer teaching hort. courses in the LA curriculum? When I was in school, we took several hort. courses that have served me well,…[Read more]

where in southeast? zone is needed for specific reccomendation.
dwarf climbing fig is great in the lower south, zone 7 and higher…not so much in upper south. does not need
help. will cling to wall.
confederate jasmine is evergreen and can be trained, again lower south…
and of course, english ivy….you love it or hate it….it likes shade. -

the deer crossing signs are great! they let you know the
best place to hunt them…..and season opens here in
Tennessee on Nov. 3. I’ll be looking for deer signs. -

I have mentioned this before, after 40+ years dedicated to la is seems that this profession seems to work if you are self employed….I’ve seen many discouaged in dead-end jobs, no jobs, bad bosses, etc…….
