Hey landplanner,
Thanks for the comment! You’re right. We harvest some of our jobs from Craigslist along with other sites to bring them all in one place. It just so happens that there are people hiring in the Bay Area, so they are showing up on the list. This is a work in progress and we plan to continue broadening our search.
We are also trying…[Read more]

Check out the Land8 Bookstore (powered by Amazon) under the Graphics section. There are a lot of great selections there to wet your palette. Chip Sullivan has a couple of great books, as well. He has a very loose style similar to crackskullbob (above).
Jim Leggitt has a lot of good examples on his blog as well as Mike Lin’s new site, beloose.com.

I like to work with Graphic Reproduction. Although, I am not sure if they are open on the weekends. Bobby would be the best person to contact.
Hope this helps!

I just received my copy yesterday of Topos 71. I skimmed through it very quickly, but plan on finding time today to read through it more in depth.

Andrew Spiering replied to the topic File Naming Conventions: How do you name your CAD files? in the forum PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE 14 years, 6 months ago
I agree. I was surprised to find out xrefs were not used more extensively. That is all that I do. I find that the more I can separate information (especially between disciplines) the easier it is for me to manage the content of the files. Even for landscape files, I typically separate out information like planting, irrigation, grading/drainage,…[Read more]

My questions exactly. We have the TB as a separate file, then xref it into paperspace.

What’s wrong with this picture? It appears that the hula dancers are beckoning riders to park their bikes here. However, it is to no avail. This was taken on the opening day of Trader Joe’s in Larkspur, […]

Excellent suggestions! I was curious about Aristida, but I have not seen it used so I was a bit hesitant. Do you have any pictures of it in one of your designs?
Thanks again!

Rebecca,
Thanks for posting this question! I have not been able to attend his workshop yet, although I hope to this summer. I think you would need to talk with the director of your MLA program to get their blessing.
Does anyone else have any thoughts?
