Habitat Restoration and Mitigation 16 years, 9 months agoI graduated in May 2008 with my BLA and emphasis in Natural Resource Management. I am considering getting my master’s in Natural Resource Management.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how an MNRM degree would help or not really effect my job hunt?
Thanks! -

California Native Plants 16 years, 10 months agoHas anyone seen a CA native develop over time? I’m interested in how native gardens survive in the real world of residencia. I’m using my own yard as a test, having just planted about 50 various species. They’re all infants right now, but I’m very excited to see how they grow,

Habitat Restoration and Mitigation 16 years, 10 months agoI am currently working on my senior cap stone B.S. – LA project , which is a brownfield site ( old glass manufacture). I was curious to see if any one had any unique mitigation techniques or could refer me to a few good case studies.

California Native Plants 17 years agoCatherine,
I attended a seminar given by a Dr. Bob Gerheart a couple of years ago. He is a well respected scientist here in california that specializes in Bi-filtration. Look up his name and see what comes up. Good luck. -

Habitat Restoration and Mitigation 17 years, 1 month agoSo interested in constructed wetlands as a ecological system and a landscape element. Any with experience care to share? Finally, any opinion as to its feasibility in arid-desert locations (MTE’s or more severe climes)?

Habitat Restoration and Mitigation 17 years, 4 months agoI’ve worked on a lot of other restoration projects, establishing wetlands in industrial estates and often roadside habitats. In heavily farmed areas roadside verges are often the only source of remnant vegetation and can therefore be incredibly important for local gene pools.

Habitat Restoration and Mitigation 17 years, 4 months agoWe have an aboriginal education team and indigenous bush foods and tools plantings which are just aobut to be extended through a recent grant. They are based out of a beautiful gum leaf shaped shelter that strangely does not appear on our website. I’ll have to take one myself.
