I owned one, sold it and went back to intuos 5 touch. Cintiq felt too small for detail work, low resolution, and cumbersome with the ac converter etc. Also the distance between the tip of the stylus and cursor due to glass thickness kind of annoyed me. Waiting to try 24.

Pla is most commonly used in co. I thought this was resolved a couple yrs ago.
Personally i prefer the old rla, for the same reasons others have mentioned.

Samsung note 10.1 is what i use. We also have an ipad. The not is head and shoulders above the ipad in terms of funtionality. It comes with a pressure sensitive stylus but i also bought a wacom bamboo stylus for sketching. I use the tab for quick ideas and some sketching, not taking, markups, etc.

the older type that came with black plastic cap is dangerous as the plastic cap peels off leaving the sharp raw edge exposed. There is steel or aluminum ‘rolled-top’ edging now that is much safer as long as you are sure ends are secured and/or even filed smooth(er). I use it and have for quite a while. these are good problems to have..

no software will or should make the design process easier.

Autocad lt I hear is a good, economical option. Then there is vecterworks and the dept store programs. You can do anything in photoshop.
