Irrigation Design 17 years, 5 months agoHi Bill,
Exactly, LandFx uses hatch patterns instead of trying to place the poly line around the shrubs, and calling out the emitters in the schedule. I think its much cleaner this way.
No it wont warn you of increased precip rates (we still have to use our brains as designers)…..

APLD – Association of Professional Landscape Designers 17 years, 5 months agoAs APLD International’s Chapter Chair, I have questions for all APLD members (or potential members): What do you enjoy about being a member of a regional or state APLD chapter? What could be improved on? If you are not a chapter member, what would you want from a chapter membership?

Irrigation Design 17 years, 5 months agoYeah, it looks like a great time saver. Although anything is faster then the way I do it, so I’m probably no the best person to judge. Are you asking if you should draw in the spaghetti and/or the poly? Too much detail is a waste IMO. The contractor won’t follow it anyway. The hatch patterns look fine. You’ve called out the emitter size for each…[Read more]

Irrigation Design 17 years, 5 months agoHello folks,
I have uploaded a sample drip plan that I designed using LandFx irrigation. (I’ve been using the software for 5 years now) I’d like to know what you think of the way LandFx handles drip irrigation. The page also explains how LandFx calcs the drip areas (its very cool.)

Xerophytic Landscapes 17 years, 5 months agoYes, I agree with Mike on the Grevillea sp. re Navid’s post. The flower gives it away. (I’m also from Australia, so I’m familliar with the genus, although I’m not sure on the species of this one. Perhaps Grevillea ‘Long John’.)

BUSINESS HELPS 17 years, 5 months agoI just recently filled the only LA position in my firm in a region where there aren’t many LA’s practicing locally. I’ve been asked to develop some marketing strategies to increase what I can bring in to the firm. Any thoughts as to how to develop the marketing side of what I can provide clients?

Xerophytic Landscapes 17 years, 6 months agoName that plant.
Looks like a pine tree from a distance with a flower that is reminiscent of a succulent. I think it’s a desert plant.

California Native Plants 17 years, 6 months agoCatherine,
I attended a seminar given by a Dr. Bob Gerheart a couple of years ago. He is a well respected scientist here in california that specializes in Bi-filtration. Look up his name and see what comes up. Good luck. -
