Isn’t this similar to Jim Corner’s book with Alex MacLean on the American Landscape? I like the photos, though, of course – aerials are absolutely addicting..I would love to have been a photo interpreter for during WWII..

I have to say, if one is not allowed to discuss design, on this landscape site , I am ready to check out.. I see it as anti-intellectualism, and an attitude that always give architects precedent over us..Don’t feel bad about disussing abstract concepts!! Landscape can be very abstract!!!

I have to vote for the written word – I read the NYT every day, and there is no WAY one gets as much out of any on-line version – you just don’t get the scope, of turning every page of the paper..sometimes the photo-essays are pretty good, but I cannot do Kindles, I just don’t read like that..I’m a skimmmer..
