Just go with what your heart says. Both architecture, and landscape architecture are undoubtedly great fields to pursue your career provided that you have all the desirable qualities to become a promising architect like creative thinking, innovative ideas, thinking out of box, etc.

Jennifer I’m in the same boat you are; I have to take Section 4 and that’s it ( have passed all the other sections). I was really hoping there would be some activity on here from the people who took it in December so we can get a feel for what’s it’s like. Thanks to Leslie for your feedback.

It looks like it is pretty flexible in Iowa. Write to them to see if the work is “satisfactory”. It looks like you’d still need one year under direct supervision of a licensed LA, though. ….. it beats three.

Check the State of Iowa website. Based on what I have read I believe your work experience working under a Landscape Architect, doing landscape architectural type work would qualify.

It differs by state, many allow licensure w/o an accredited degree, so all of your experience should count (some may be weighed differently).

I tend to agree- how much business do our websites really generate from people who are window shopping? From people who stumble across them? I think the majority of visitors to our site already know who we are and are looking for authenticity or additional information.
