Residential Design Group 16 years, 10 months agoElif,
I hope I understand your question, here’s goes. When I present a project to a client I bring pictures of plants and I try and draw quick perspesctives or elevations of the job. A lot of people can not visualize a plan view into a real life project. They have not had the training we have and don’t look at plans as we do. When I go to their…[Read more] -

Residential Design Group 16 years, 10 months agoI have a question!
Each time I prepare a project, I write a story for it. I try to present it telling this strory. I don’t simply say “Here a group of shrubs you like and some other here!”

California Native Plants 17 years agoCatherine,
I attended a seminar given by a Dr. Bob Gerheart a couple of years ago. He is a well respected scientist here in california that specializes in Bi-filtration. Look up his name and see what comes up. Good luck. -

Residential Design Group 17 years, 1 month agoA member in another forum in the lounge asked a question about resume’s and CV’s- where might she find a template to create these.
Here’s an online resource I found recently that might be of use to some of you-I haven’t used it myself., but it does seem to have potential.

Pacific Northwest 17 years, 1 month agoI put an album on my folio called “Parks & Restoration . Anderson Property”. This is the project I worked on which integrates restoration and design (part of the paper I mentioned in the last email). A topic which could be argued about. You also might want to go to UW campus and see the Fisheries building and adjacent parking lot and the Shell…[Read more]

Pacific Northwest 17 years, 2 months agoAren’t we a quiet group! Hello all. I am trying to refine my thesis question or topic. It is going to center around what design principles could successfully be used with native plants particular to a specific bioregion (in my case the pacific northwest, zones 3-5) in order to create a landscape of high design. My purpose is to demonstrate to the…[Read more]
