I would remove the photo of yourself. Its not a good one and your not applying for a model position. I think its better to explain what programs you used to create the drawings. If you have any built work you need to put that in.

Mike Metevier replied to the topic Can you give me a realistic picture of being a landscape architect? in the forum GENERAL DISCUSSION 11 years, 4 months ago
Wow, some of the replies on here are pretty sad. If this is something that you find interesting and could see you making a living then yes, it is something to consider. If your goal is to work on public parks then that is was you can strive for. Like any profession, there are good days and bad days. I would look into the profession in ever…[Read more]

CLARB is a scam. They will rip you off for thousands and keep the carrot from you. CLARB looses money when you pass. CLARB changing the rules during mid stream is unfair and wrong.

Also what experience you have is a VERY important. I dont know about the school in oregon, it may be great, just dont go by what they say about their own school. They are runni…[Read more]

wow, they escorted you out of the building???? That is not that uncommon. The bigger the firm, and the more of a jerk the HR person is, the worse you will be treated. The most important thing is to MAKE PHYSICAL AND DIGITAL COPIES OF EVERYTHING YOU ARE INVOLVED WITH AS YOUR DOING IT. Dont think you can get it later. Many firms i have worke…[Read more]

bla bla bla. Look, take them in all formats as possible. So long as your honest about what you did on the project, your fine. Mike Metevier replied to the topic Anyone know what the job market is like for an MLA grad? in the forum EDUCATION 12 years, 7 months ago
You dont mention what your BA is in, so let me get right to the point. STAY OUT OF THE FIELD OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE. Most Bachalor degrees in Landscape architecture have a 5 year program, a master has only 2 years. Most firms know better then to hire someone with a masters with only 2 years of education then to hire someown with a BLA who wi…[Read more]

Thomas, here is the deal. Start looking for a new job NOW. Some people are just jerks and there is nothing you can do about it. Do you best to stay calm while your working there, but start looking for another job. Some people just yell and rant and do not know how to be profesional. If you were that bad, you would have been fired. The guy…[Read more]
