Lookout Cove at The Bay Area Discovery Museum
This 2.5-acre outdoor, interactive exploration area features natural, cultural and built icons of the Bay Area, as well as five site-specific artistic works commissioned for the Cove. The one above is the “Willow Sculpture” by Patrick Dougherty. -

I believe certificate programs (at least UC Berkeley Extesion) fall under the same jurisdiction. A year ago, UCBX was in danger of losing their accreditation. The students were in a frenzy because of it…

Good question. I am finishing up my certificate at UC Berkeley Extension and am happy with my experience there. However, if I were to do it all over again, I would have gotten my Master’s degree instead. I say that because a Master’s program is usually 2-3 years while an extension program can drag on for more than 4 years (I am approaching five…[Read more]

The HOA might also be concerned that the garden will not be maintained after a period of time and turn back into an eyesore. It would be important to get enough people caring for it that when tenants move or lose interest there will be others to take their place.

Every tool you can have under your belt the better… I know Autocad very well since it was the standard at the last two firms I worked for. At the last firm I talked them into getting Land F/X which is super easy to learn and speeds up production time. With that, I learned SketchUp (another easy program to learn). Great idea! Just to be clear, are you wanting a map that shows all of the places around the world that a landscape architect would want to visit? Gardens, parks, plazas, campuses, etc…?
