trace, i got distracted while reading your post, & it took me about five minutes to get through… i don’t know why.
i like contrast and asymmetry, and without question curves juxtaposed with rectilinear forms can create that…
curves and compound curves are most certainly in my playbook.

On a side note, i just came into the possession of a 1920’s Underwood typewriter, it was in rough shape and i took it to a man in his mid eighties (perhaps one of the last people to know how one works) and he fixed it up like new. it sounds awesome and i think i may start to type my cover letters with it.

Read? Aside from Land8 I only browse pop-up landscape books… and there aren’t many of those. My next great hope is that someone comes out with a ‘Choose your own adventure’ book applied to design, so ‘Choose your own Design’. “If you want to choose permeable pavers, turn to page 56, if you want to choose gravel….”

Combine all three, assuming you have the space. The uses do not seem to conflict, and you could create a site that is constantly alive… have fun.

I’d be much more interested in a show illustrating and demonstrating how to achieve optimal ‘Sustainable Sites’ credits in both residential and commercial/municipal settings. Education on the topic is paramount to advancing the cause of stewardship because it gives face to the concept and doesn’t just parrot talking points about how important it…[Read more]

Off the top of my head (forgive me if i forget something):
–Tower case – $50 – $100 (Depending on looks, size… think ventilation)
–Power Supply – $75
–Motherboard – $120 – $200
–CPU – $250 – 350 — Spend the money here, but don’t feel like you need the newest, as there often is a gulf in price between “cutting edge” and “yesterdays CPU” that…[Read more] -

PC is the way to go, to go MAC is to overpay and swim against the tide of the industry standard…

i prefer a Dirr manual (not the big one, Dirrs Native Plants of the North East) because nothing beats having the book in my hands… I also really enjoy my dendrology workbook. both can fit in my briefcase with my sketchbook…

Right on. I actually spent a few months in Pandora with the Nav’i teaching ESL, let me tell you it was fantastic. All was going well until my avatar bit the dust… woke up back here unemployed.
